My Background

I have been using and programming computers since 1981 and my professional IT career dates from 1984. During my 31 year career with BT, I introduced and developed a number of complex web-based applications, in particular one that is used by the company to remotely control many thousands of servers all over the country and another used to monitor Internet platforms to ensure any problems cause minimal disruption to web surfers.

I also have a long-standing, very popular hobby website, Beermad, which has given me many opportunities over the years to explore new web design techniques.
